Patrick Sier is the President of Advisory Services of New

England. He maintains designations as a Certified

Financial Planner®, a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor®, and a Chartered Special Needs Consultant®. He brings over 30 years of Trust and Private Banking experience with super-regional banks and brokerage firms to his role as an advisor to a select client base, providing consultative services in the areas of investment management, lending, mortgage, estate, financial and retirement planning services, business succession planning, long term health care and Special Needs Services for individuals with disabilities, as well as insurance services.

 

Prior to starting his investment management firm, Patrick was a senior investment advisor with major brokerage and Investment advisory firms including, Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley, UBS, The Private Clients Group at Fleet National Bank, and its predecessors BankBoston and Hospital Trust. During his tenure with those firms, he served in a number of capacities as part of the management team, including Senior Vice President for The Private Bank at BankBoston, where he oversaw a team of 14. As part of the senior management team, his responsibilities included strategic planning and product development. He served as a senior liaison to the Commercial Lending, Precious Metals, and Corporate Real Estate departments and to the Board of Directors where he was responsible for providing estate planning, investment management, lending, and private banking services to Board Members, senior bank officers, and their clients. Patrick started his career at BankOne in Ohio.

 

Patrick earned his Certified Financial Planning designation in 1993, his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation in 2008, his Chartered Divorce Financial

Analyst certification in 2009, and his Charted Special Needs Consultant designation in 2022. He is a graduate of the American Bankers Association National Trust School, the National Commercial Lending School, and the American College of Financial Services. He earned his bachelor's degree in Business Economics in 1980 from Wright State University.

Patrick is a member of the Academy of Special Needs Planners and the Estate Planning Council of Rhode Island. He has served on numerous boards including The East Bay Center and The Rhode Island Council of Community Mental Health Organizations. He is also a past member of the Board of; The American Lung Association of RI, The Women's Center of Rhode Island, the estate planning committee for Meeting Street School, The Friends of the Philharmonic, The Turks Head Club, and Bar Zap, an environmental group in Rhode Island.
